Third Bonsall Arts Trail Secures Continued Sponsorship from Longcliffe

1st June 2026

Building on the success of the 2022 and 2024 events, the village of Bonsall will this year again host a celebration of local artists through a trail to be held over the weekend of 20th and 21st June. And for the third time, this highlight in the Bonsall calendar is being sponsored by local company Longcliffe Quarries Ltd.

This year the ‘Bonsall Arts Trail’ will focus on the village centre, making it more accessible for visitors, and ensuring as many people as possible can enjoy the work of over 81 artists. Louise Stevenson of the Bonsall Arts Trail committee said: “After 2022 and 2024’s successful Trails, I am particularly proud of the way that the weekend continues to develop as a true community event. This year there are 13 artists based in Bonsall, six of whom are exhibiting in their own homes, which will give visitors a real insight into each artist's process and inspiration in this amazing location in the heart of the Peak District.

“I'm also excited to see the work that has been entered for the children's art competition; there is a real buzz at Bonsall School, where many children are working on artwork to display in the village hall. We also have a programme of music on both days and food available at the village pubs and external providers.”

Longcliffe is once again sponsoring an award which is open to any artists exhibiting in the Trail. The Longcliffe Award can be 2D or 3D and must reference sustainability, one of the company’s key values.  Entries will be shortlisted down to eight which will also be displayed in the village hall; on the Saturday morning, the winner will be presented with a trophy and a £200 prize.

Longcliffe Group Managing Director Paul Boustead added: “It is a real pleasure to be able to continue our association with this truly community-focused event.  We are looking forward to seeing the range of exhibits from adults and children, and of course to judging the Longcliffe Award.  We hope that the 2026 event is an even bigger success.”

Trail venues include a large marquee in Bonsall Park, village community buildings (church, school, pub and village hall), and homes within the village. For more information, please visit www.bonsallartstrail.org/
