Limestone
Through Longcliffe's membership of the British and Irish Calcium Carbonates Federation (BICCF) we are able to include Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) on our website to provide transparent, verified information about the environmental impact of our Limestone products throughout their life cycle. These EPD have been produced by the Calcium Carbonate Association – Europe a division within the Industrial Minerals Association in accordance with EN 15804+A2 and ISO 14025 standards.
EPDs are based on international standards and offer a science-based, third-party-reviewed assessment of factors such as carbon footprint, energy use, water consumption, and waste generation. These EPD reflects our commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility and being proactive in reducing our environmental footprint. These EPD represent our finest milled products which have been through the most energy intensive production processes at Longcliffe and as such the majority of our products will have a lower environmental impact than are reported in these documents although these are yet to be calculated.
Longfloor
To assist architects, builders, and sustainability professionals to make informed decisions that align with green building certifications we have carried out an EPD on Longfloor, our flowing screed product. This has been independently verified in accordance with EN 15804+A2 and ISO 14025 standards.
