Speciality Limes

At Longcliffe, we have a portfolio of over 100 calcium carbonate and limestone-based products, which we supply to a wide range of customers both locally and nationally. Besides our standard limestone and dolomite products, we also produce new and innovative product lines based on quicklime and hydrates.

Our range of speciality limes includes high-density milk of lime which we manufacture especially for our industry partner, Tarmac Buxton Lime. Suitable for drinking water and wastewater treatment, milk of lime is produced from our high-quality limestone deposits in Derbyshire.

In addition to our milk of lime production, we also manufacture Refox Calcium Oxide, supplying these to customers across multiple industries.
New and improved grades of our products are continually being developed in close co-operation with customers to meet their future needs.

Refox Calcium Oxide

Refox Calcium Oxide (CaO) is a high-purity quicklime processed at our company’s manufacturing operations in Derbyshire. The material has been calcined, milled and classified to produce a product of exceptional purity with a consistent reactivity. Our Refox Calcium Oxide is available in powder and dispersed forms, ensuring we meet individual processing requirements for our customers. Hydralon Calcium Hydroxide

Hydralon Calcium Hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) is a high-quality hydrated lime produced from high-purity carboniferous limestone found in Derbyshire. The stone is subject to closely controlled calcination followed by stoichiometric hydration resulting in an exceptional end product. Industrial as well as feed grades are available, including products specifically formulated for use in fluoroelastomer systems. Fluoromag Magnesium Oxide

Fluoromag Magnesium Oxide is a high-activity magnesium oxide (MgO) produced from seawater magnesia that has been further processed in order to produce a range of products that offer consistent activity in halogenated polymer cure systems. Fluoromag is primarily used as an acid acceptor in fluoroelastomers and polychloroprene compounds, however, we can also supply it for alternative applications. Longcliffe’s speciality calcined products are available in a range of grades to suit different applications. Our operations are fully accredited to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 providing our customers with the confidence that we are supplying quality products.

Our Calcium Oxide products are available in 25kg sacks - palletised and shrink-wrapped if required.
